Education and Training
Timber frame is one of the few supply sectors in UK building to have a complete range of industry bespoke training and accreditation programmes to deliver a fully trained workforce.
From the design of a timber frame building to its manufacture in the factory and erection on site, you can now have your skills recognised whether you are looking for ways to start a career or just want to develop the skills of your organisation.
We are proud to offer a range of industry based timber frame training qualifications developed specifically for designers, manufacturers and erectors.
Developed in partnership with City & Guilds, all of our vocational training courses encompass distance learning and interactive learning experiences. All of the UKTFA qualifications schemes are also available at three levels, allowing candidates to progress as they gain experience.
Many of our member companies, including the likes of Taylor Lane, Stewart Milne Timber Systems, Pinewood Structures, Walker Timber, Deeside Timberframe and Robertson Timberkit are putting most if not all of their timber frame designers through the UKTFA programme.
“These qualifications ensure that from design through to site installation, our employees will now have their skills formally recognised. We have set the standard and our job now is to make sure skills levels remain at their highest level – our clients can now appreciate that only qualified professional will be working on their projects.”
John Wright, Managing Director, Deeside Timberframe
